Penne Carbonara
The best ever Carbonara you will make.
Bonus: It is sooooo easy - even Isy could make it ;-))
500 g Penne or Fettucini,
1 kleine Zwiebel,
1-2 Knoblauchzehen,
Olivenoil,
10 Scheiben Pancetta (oder Speck),
5 Eigelb,
100 ml Sahne,
125 gr Parmesan,
Frisch gemahlener Pfeffer,
Salz
Schritt 1
Cook the penne in salted boiled water until al dente.
Schritt 2
Meantime slowly fry the chopped garlic & onion in a little olive oil. Add the cut up pancetta and fry until crispy; & leave aside.
Schritt 3
In a bowl, whip up the egg yolks, cream & half the cheese.
Schritt 4
When the pasta is cooked, drain it & then immediately toss through the egg micture and pancetta.
Schritt 5
Season to taste & serve with remaining cheese
